Board Meeting July 8, 2020

Boyd Acres Neighborhood Board Meeting
July 8, 2020 2:00PM Virtual Meeting with Zoom

Board Meeting
Budget:
Minutes from Treasurer Report - Joan Miller: No new report this time. Some money carried over for end of the year. Cindy has some new receipts that she mailed in.
NLA report - Kathy Roche, Please read Kathy’s notes she has posted beforehand to keep it brief so we have time to discuss the picnic. Posted notes to the google drive.
Safety Streets program –on task and on time
Want more members for the subgroups –board members can join those subgroups.
Selected new media and survey platforms. BANA has mixed reactions to those.
Land Use: Jim Beauchemin, same as above. If you have questions for Jim about a certain development ask it here. Review of Juniper ridge developments and access, contractor’s storage yard on Nels Anderson.
Business outreach committee: Tom Fisher: Tom has talked to several businesses. Some businesses are suffering. Areas around 97 and what will happen with ODOT realignment especially along Nels Anderson.

Speakers for upcoming meetings: Cindy invited Ann Marie Colucci to discuss the Gateway North Project for the Picnic in August.

Picnic: Bend Park and Recreation says only 50 folks, have to keep in contact with them, a pod of 10 family is ok and then social distancing, have to clean the bathroom and take the garbage home and clean the tables. Joan – can see a lot of negatives about this picnic. What are the positives? Cindy –would need to be RSVP, providing food is a draw. No fun kids games. Would keep a community feeling, bring a sense of normalcy. Fulfill charter mandate and outreach. Group vote unanimous to look into a virtual meeting. Do votes by email. Give prizes for voting if possible.

Online and social media presence: Cindy: FB photo contest was a success with over 25 new FB group members. FB boost for $6. Winners received a gift bag and a welcome card. Lets do more of this!

Options/ideas in keeping with state and local guidelines.  Please read Joan’s idea page she emailed everyone. That’s a great start!

Signs:50 Fireworks signs were made available. Cindy has 15 left. Kathy volunteered to store them until next year.

BANA Info Cards: 500 BANA info cards available. Cindy distributed them to most of you. Can leave them on her porch for pick up any time you need some.
