Agenda Executive meeting Minutes

Attending: Cindy King, Kathy Roche, Jim Beauchemin, Tom Fisher, Kelsey Schwartz , Joan Miller
Minutes from previous meeting- Kathy-presented minutes. Cindy will resend intro package. –update JMs phone 541-389-6386. Plz use yahoo email.
Financials- Joan – sent spreadsheet spent $500 got about $12,000 left. Joette needs Stamps for Welcome cards. She will be out of town for BANA mtg next week. Cindy showed us the new tripod and PA system.
Committee reports
Land use - Jim Beauchemin- he has been sending info out regularly. Change of zoning and amendments 63321 N, Hy 97- light industrial to commercial. Glen Vista 20 lot subdivision don’t want to put in sidewalks or trial -decision was to include a multiuse trail BANA supports, Storage facility on Sockeye –in Brinson Industrial Park –currently 4 acres with Boats and RVs –propose to expand onto lot next door graded lot and removed trees but prior to ask; Microunits—NLA and city working on this generally very cautious. Update city transportation plan, includes roundabouts on Butler Mkt, doesn’t include N-interchange, nor roundabouts in that area; Design review on bldg. n of Les Schwab industrial manufacturing controls; City of Bend will offer assistance in relocation from N-97 to Juniper Ridge. Juniper Ridge Adv Committee minutes – consolidate commercial general zoning and light industrial zoning for that area and allow a place to eat. If employees exceed 4 per acre and then might get re-zoned and include a buffer. Workforce housing might be considered.
NLA – Kathy- no sept meeting. Meeting with Police Chief, JB--fireworks and stray bullets at NYs, probably using shotguns, enforcement of homeless parking, invite PC to our homeless coalition meeting.
Business outreach - Tom Fisher – are we not pursuing storage? Cindy –75 too high, 35 is ok but do we need it? Biz’s that serve outside will be hardest hit by winter. Re-route Nels Anderson. All will be relocated or reconfigured.
Community outreach ideas –Taylor could not attend, wanted to make some phone calls, can we use mailing list to contact residents? Or go door to door? Be event specific.
Newsletter/NLA/NART/social media assignments. Newsletter- Joette
Member Meeting- Eric Tobiasin with Veteran’s Village. October 14th at 6pm on Zoom Put onto Facebook. Get info into newsletter and onto FB, Nextdoor.
Candidate Forum-16 folks from BANA, suggest contributing. Ask about code changes and how to get appropriate public input.
