At the Feb. 13 meeting the Board voted to nominate Jim Beauchemin, land us chair, to be the Boyd Acres member of the advisory board. The J.R. board will have 2 years to review the master plan and previously created agreements with the Department of Transportation and other entities.
In other actions the Board agreed to change the monthly meeting date to the second Wednesday. This will allow BANA to continue meeting at the Elks Lodge, a most convenient venue.
BANA will support the use of traffic calming measures during the construction of the Empire/Purcell roundabout to ensure traffic making the detour on Desert Sage does not adversely impact the residents of Lava Ridges.
City traffic manager Janet Ruby is proposing to reduce the speed limit on sections of Vogt St.to 25 mph, another traffic calming technique.
