The City's Planning Division is proposing a change to the Bend Development Code that will allow duplexes on 6,000 square-foot lots and triplexes on 9,000 square-foot lots to increase housing options in the Residential Standard (RS) zone.
The current requirement is 8,000 and 10,000 square-foot lots respectively. The Planning Commission held a work session on the topic on October 22ndand will hold a public hearing on November 26th. The Council is then scheduled to hold a public hearing on December 5th. The Affordable Housing Committee will review the proposal at their November 14th meeting.
