The meeting attended by 40 sign-ins including 2 board members and 3 guests began with an invitation to feast on the caterings of Jimmy John’s. The chair, Larry Kierulff, introduced Erin Foote Morgan, Executive Director of Bend 2030, who presented the highlights of the Bend Livability Project and the opportunities ahead for citizen participation. She introduced Moey Newbold, representative of Central Oregon Land Watch, who challenged citizens to participate in land use issues such as the Urban Grow Boundary Process. She introduced Bend City Councilor, Sally Russell ,
who presented her background, passions  and response to questions compiled by the board and some from the floor. The chair then presented the panel of board nominations for elections. Jim Beauchemin, Larry Kierulff, Don Leonard and Joette Storm were unanimously confirmed as board members. The chair explained that roles of each would be determined at the next board meeing.
