Status Report
Joette reported that a small quantity of Welcome to Our Community cards are available to distribute to new residents. We can measure how the cards are received by our neighbors and make edits if needed.
She introduced Michael Johnson, a website developer who expressed interest in bidding on the new Welcome website project. Mr. Johnson summarized his experience, credentials and references.
The draft Request for Proposals has been provided to Joshua Romero, Community Relations Manager for Bend. The RFP should contain wording regarding the City’s requirement for vendor pre approval before any reimbursement can be made.
When the RFP is finalized it will be distributed to eight prospective bidders and published on the BANA website and Next Door social media site.
Land Use Activity 10 Barrel Brewing Company at 62950 NE 18th.has applied for a liquor license to sell wine and beer wholesale at its expanded facility. Jim B. registered no objection from BANA
Future Speakers and meeting dates Don L. proposed the Board not schedule a meeting in February due to board member conflicts.
He proposed we invite a speaker to the March 13th meeting. The proposal was seconded and fully supported. Joette suggested that another location with better access such as the Looking Glass Cafe meeting room, 150 NE Bend Mall Dr. be explored for future meetings and offered to do so.
It was agreed that a general picnic meeting in June was working well and should be repeated. Potential speakers were discussed. Jim B will contact Parks and Rec. Larry K will contact two developers (Hwy 97/Robal and Hwy 20/Robal. Don L will contact 10 Barrell. The meeting adjourned at 615 pm.
